We have successfully synthesized Pd microspheres with a particle size of 2-4 mu m and layer-by-layer microdisks with diameters of about 2-4 mu m by the reduction of H2PdCl4 by hydrazine via a polymer-assisted process. The novel palladium microstructures were formed through self-assembly of the nanosheets.
