Highly conductive polymer anodes as replacements for inorganic materials in high-efficiency organic light-emitting diodes

Ask authors/readers for more resources

Highly conductive polymer anodes are compared to ITO contacts for organic LEDs (OLEDs). The polymer PEDOT.PSS exhibits a conductivity of 500 S cm(-1) and enables improved device performance and lower operating voltages compared to ITO-based devices (see figure). Red, green, and blue OLEDs with polymer anodes achieve device efficiencies of 15.9, 63.5, and 4.0 lm W-1, respectively.
