Crack-free thick ordered mesoporous TiO2 films with excellent optical quality have been synthesized by combination of Doctor Blade technique and a two-step evaporation induced self-assembly (EISA) method. By employing the as-synthesized mesoporous film with the thickness of 7 pm as the photoanode in dye-sensitized solar cell (DSC), a solar conversion efficiency of 6.53% has been obtained at 30 mW cm(-2) light intensity.
