PVP-SO2 complex as a solid mild acid catalyst for efficient one pot, three component, Strecker synthesis of α-aminonitriles

Solid poly(4-vinylpyridine)-SO2 complex was prepared and used as a mild solid acid catalyst for simple and efficient three component Strecker synthesis of alpha-aminonitriles in high yield and purity.
