Projection methods for the analysis of molecular-frame photoelectron angular distributions -: I:: Minimal parameterizations in the dipole limit

The analysis of the molecular-frame photoelectron angular distributions (MFPADs) is discussed. within the dipole approximation. The general expressions are reviewed and strategies for extracting the maximum amount of information from different types of experimental measurements are considered.
