Hexacoordinated organotin and organosilicon derivatives have been prepared and characterized by analytical and spectroscopic techniques including UV, IR, H-1 NMR, and C-13 NMR spectra. The ligands used in the present account were derived by the condensation of thiosemicarbazide and 1H-Indol-2,3-dione, 1,3-dihydro-3-[2-(4-fluorophenyl)-2-oxo-ethylidene]-2H-indol-2-one, and 1,3-dihydro-3-[2-(4-fluoro3-methyl-phenyl)-2-oxo-ethylidene]-2H-indol-2-one under microwave irradiation as well as by conventional heating. Newly synthesized complexes with their corresponding ligands were tested for their antifungal and antibacterial activities. The aim of the present study is to synthesize some novel ecofriendly fungicides and bactericides that have important pharmacodynamic significance.
