The influence of air humidity and the dust present in air and nitrogen on the structure of a pressure momentum distribution behind a shock wave propagating across the positive column of glow discharge in these gases has been experimentally studied. Analysis of the experimental data provides information concerning the mechanism of shock wave degradation under such conditions.
