The effect of gamma-irradiation (Co-60 sources) on 20 years stored As10Se90 glass is studied using high-resolution X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) technique. It is shown that high-energy irradiation treatment stimulates studied chalcogenide glasses (ChG) towards a more thermodynamically equilibrium state which cannot be attained when making glass by the conventional melt-quenching method.
