A novel electrochemical sensor was prepared for the detection of bisphenol A (BPA), and it was based on a molecularly imprinted polymer/carbon nanotubes-Au nanoparticles/boron-doped ordered mesoporous carbon composite. The composite showed a porous 3D structure and had a large surface area, good recognition capacity and high electrocatalysis to BPA; thus the sensor presented a sensitive and selective electrochemical response to it. Under optimal conditions, the sensor showed a large linear range of 0.01-10 M and a low detection limit of 5 nM determined by using differential pulse voltammetry. It was applied to detect BPA in milk samples successfully.
