Two novel anthraquitiones, lupinacidins A (1) and B (2), have been isolated from the culture broth of a new endophytic actinomycete belonging to the genus Micromonospora. Lupinacidins were found to show significant inhibitory effects on the invasion of murine colon 26-L5 carcinoma cells without inhibiting cell growth. (c) 2007 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
