The steam distilled oil from the dry leaves (needles) of Juniperus communis L subjected to Gas Chromatograph (GC) and Gas Chromatograph-mass spectrometer(GC-MS), resulted in identification of 27 compounds representing (89.40%) of the total oil, beta-pinene (10.7%), sabinene (22.8%), trans-sabinene hydrate (6.0%) and gamma-cadinene (10.6%) were the major constituents respectively. Simultaneously the comparison of leaves analysis has been done with earlier published reports.
