A simple, clean and environmentally benign route to the synthesis of 2-amino-4H-chromenes is described using Preyssler type heteropolyacid, H-14[NaP5W30O110], as a green and reusable catalyst in water. The products were obtained in very good yields. (c) 2007 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
