Monitoring of atmospheric radionuclides is an important part of avoiding or eliminating the risk of diseases to the general public.(1) Gross alpha and gross beta activities results should be important in understanding the trends of atmospheric radioactivity and for the variation in time. Airborne particulate samples were collected monthly during the years 2003 and 2004. Radioactivities were determined using WPC 9550 alpha/beta counting system. The arithmetic means of gross alpha/beta activities were 202 center dot 10(3) and 285 center dot 10(3) Bq center dot m(3), respectively. The data obtained in this study provide a base line for evaluating possible future changes.
