Glucose-containing polyaniline (PANI) microspheres were prepared via a self-assembly process which started in alkaline solution by the oxidative polymerization of N-glucosylaniline (G-An). The products were characterized by SEM, TEM, FT-IR, UV-Vis, H-1 NMR and GPC measurements. It was found that the polymerization of G-An by alkali-guided method gave complicated structures and both the pH value and the dose of oxidant could affect the morphology of the product.
