Isomeric states in Th-214 and Th-213 were identified by means of gamma-rays measured in delayed coincidence with the implanted evaporation residues. These were produced in irradiations of Dy-164 with Cr-54 projectiles and separated in-flight by the velocity filter SHIP. An isomeric state of I-pi = 8(+) with a half-life of (1.24 +/- 0.12) mu s was identified in Th-214. The configuration pi[1hg(9/2) circle times 2f(7/2)] was assigned to this state. An isomeric state with a half-life of (1.4 +/- 0.4) mu s was observed in Th-213. Tentatively it was assigned to an I-pi = 13/2(+) state.
