Porous NiMo film was prepared by one-step electrodeposition under super gravity field and was used as electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). NiMo films possessed three-dimensional porous structure. The thickness of porous layer was up to 180-240 am. Porous NiMo films with extremely large real active area exhibited high catalytic activity for HER. The overpotential was very low and only 47 mV at 100 mA cm(-2). Meanwhile, porous NiMo films possessed good long-term stability by accelerated degradation studies. (C) 2014, Hydrogen Energy Publications, LLC. Published by Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
