Sol-gel molecularly imprinted polymers for recognition of bovine serum albumin were prepared via polymerization on the surface of aminopropyl silica followed by immobilization proteins. Based on the above system, the relationship between fundamental parameters of preparation of molecularly imprinted polymers and their effect on the separation selectivity was studied. A mixture of octyltrimethoxysilane, 3-aminopropylsilane and tetraethoxysilane at ratio of 42.5:42.5:15 were polymerized at pH 7.0 before template protein removal by solution of 0.1 mol/L NaOH and 10% (V/V) HAc-10% (W/V) SDS. The results indicated that tire molecularly imprinted polymers obtained by this method showed the best separation selectivity. Moreover, the recognition mechanism of template proteins was analyzed preliminarily.
