By combining the visible-light catalyst, Ru(bpy)(3)Cl-2, and transition metal salts, Cu(OTf)(2), we are able to functionalize secondary amines to form Csp3Csp3 bonds with -keto esters efficiently by an aerobic oxidative coupling reaction under visible light irradiation at ambient conditions.
