This paper focus on simulating and modeling a complete system of solar PV using P&O method for tracking the maximum power from the solar panel, PV panel presented using Matlab/Simulink. Irradiance and temperature data has been taken for 1 day on 9/04/2016 from Mythological Department of Malaysia. Signal builder block in Matlab has been used to implement the data for the irradiance and temperature. The output voltage of the PV panel has been bucked by using DC-DC buck converter. MPPT has been applied to the DC-DC buck converter using P&O algorithm to ensure the Maximum output power from the solar PV. Output power graph is presented in the result part to compare the different of output power using MPPT and without using MPPT. MPPT controller has proven efficiency of 94% in steady irradiance, when the same data of irradiance and temperature applied to the PV solar, output power of DC-DC converter without MPPT shown efficiency of 80%.
