Single-crystalline membranes are assembled in test cells to evaluate their lithium conductivity and to monitor in situ the crystallinity variations under current flows. The results show that the single-crystalline membranes exhibit lithium conductivity as high as 10(-6) S cm(-1) while their single crystallinity remains to effectively block diffusion of oxygen molecules.
