A novel nanostructured hybrid PMMA/MgAI-LDH thin film enables a strong UV-blocking effect, up to 97% below 300 rim, and excellent visible transparency. The graft density of PMMA films can be controlled by adjusting the area coverage of immobilized LDH monolayer with a highly orientated structure on oxide, metal, and polymer substrates.
