The Laboratory of Molecular Imaging and Nanomedicine of the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering at the National Institutes of Health has been led by Xiaoyuan Chen since 2009. The Laboratory of Molecular Imaging and Nanomedicine contains three interdisciplinary, versatile groups: the Theranostic Nanomedicine; PET/Optical Imaging Probe; and Biological Molecular Imaging Sections, consisting of chemists, engineers, biologists and clinicians working together to transfer biomedical technology from bench to bedside.
