Catalytic enantioselective α-sulfenylation of β-ketocarbonyls by chiral primary amines

A simple chiral primary amine catalyst was identified to enable effective catalysis in direct alpha-sulfenylation of acyclic and cyclic beta-ketocarbonyls with good yields and excellent enantioselectivities.
