The development of three-dimensional (3D) nanofiber structures by electrospinning has drawn considerable attention in the field of tissue scaffolds. However, the generation of two dimensional mats using the conventional method limits electrospinning, the electrical charging of polymer liquids, as a means of nanofiber fabrication. In this study, we established a facile method of fabrication of layer-by-layer 3D polycaprolactone (PCL) nanofiber structures by utilizing a booklet collector with controlled morphology. Meanwhile, we explore the application of the manufactured 3D architectures in the field of tissue scaffolds. The approximately 20 mu m layer-to-layer distance enhanced the ability of cells to migrate freely into tissues and induce cells in an ordered arrangement.
