For the complexity of the fermentation process, the paper adopts SPCE061A MCU to control the temperature of fermentation tank, and gives the hardware and software design methods for the system. Smith predictor is used in the design as compensation to the traditional PID control, which can overcome the effect of large lag and inertia on the stability of temperature control system and offer better robustness. So the quality of the system is greatly improved.
