Magnetoelastic waves propagation in a normally magnetized yttrium iron garnet (YIG) film epitaxially grown on a gadolinium gallium garnet (GGG) substrate with the periodic array of etched grooves in a YIG film was studied. Both magnonic and phononic bandgaps were found in spin wave spectra of the structure due to Bragg resonance. Such structure can be qualified as a phononic-magnonic crystal.
