In breast cancer cells the Steroid Receptor RNA Activator (SRA) acts as scaffold of a complex containing HP1 gamma, LSDI, HDACl/2 and CoREST, which contributes to repression of key hormone-inducible genes that must be kept silent in the absence of hormone.
