Treatment is of great importance in fighting against infectious diseases. In this paper, we investigate a disease transmission model of SEIR type with quadratic treatment function. We consider r as the parameter which describes the societal effort to fight the infection. It is found that the system has four possible equilibria when r changes. Moreover, the existence and stability of equilibria of the model are discussed. Finally, the complex dynamics of the system are displayed by numerical simulations such as bi-stability, backward bifurcations.
