Because of the ability of tracking and filtering the reference signal (RS), and the ability of obtaining the generalized derivative of the RS. nonlinear tracking differentiators (NTDs) have been widely applied in many of the engineering fields. However, there are phase delays when applying NTDs. These phase delays will affect subsequent performance. In order to improve the accuracy of NTDs, a new phase compensation method based on Taylor's formula is proposed in this paper, which could reduce the phase delays significantly. Some simulation results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the method. (C) 2018 Elsevier GmbH. All rights reserved.
