N and Co-doped carbon particles (NCCNPs) were prepared by directly carbonizing ZIF-67 at different temperature. The obtained NCCNPs were modified on glassy carbon electrodes (GCE) for electrochemical detection of dopamine (DA) and uric acid (UA). NCCNPs synthesized at 800 degrees C modified electrode exhibited the highest sensitivity and lowest detection limit toward DA and UA. The effect of the form and content of N, Co species on the detection performance were deduced. It was found that the excellent electrochemical sensing performance of the NCCNPs(800) modified electrode is related with large amount of Co with high crystallinity, the small amount of doped N with high electron acceptance ability.
