Adsorption kinetic study of cumin dye on silk fabric was carried out under optimal dyeing parameters. The physicochemical parameters of dyeing of silk fabric with natural dye, extracted from Cuminum cyminum L. were examined in terms of enthalpy, entropy changes and activation energy of adsorption. Pseudo first-order and second-order kinetic models were used to examine the adsorption kinetic data. (C) 2013 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
