Bimetallic non-noble CoNi nanoparticles have been successfully supported on multiwall carbon nano tubes. The ultrafine CoNi nanoparticles with particle size of 2 nm are monodispersed on multiwall carbon nanotubes surface. The synergistic effect between Co and Ni plays an important role in enhancement for ammonia borane hydrolysis. In addition, the support effect could also efficiently improve the catalytic performance. Compared to the other support, the synthesized Coo3Nio,3/MCNTs shows excellent catalytic performance with TOF of 128 mol(cat)(-1) min I at 323 K. Interestingly, the prepared nanocatalysts also possess high durability in ammonia borane hydrolysis. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
