In this paper, fire consequence analysis of a Nile floating hotel is performed. Fire and evacuation simulation program is used to analyze the consequences of a cabin fire scenario in an accommodation deck aboard a Nile-floating hotel considering the effect of ventilation conditions such as doors and windows. The amount of heat release rate which is suitable for the current study and is to be used in the fire simulation is carefully selected from peer-reviewed published data. A series of simulations of the worst-case fire scenario that could occur in the accommodation spaces aboard Nile-floating hotels have been conducted. These simulations involved an existing design of a single-deck accommodation space as well as four alternative designs/arrangements that are assumed to have higher level of fire safety than of the existing design. The study used the latest version of the integrated fire and evacuation simulation program FDS + EVAC, namely (FDS 5.5.3 & EVAC 2.2.1).
