In this paper, we obtain shock wave solutions to Bogoyavlensky-Konoplechenko equation, which is a two-dimensional generalization of the well known Korteweg-de Vries equation. Ansatz approach is utilized to carry out this integration. There are constraint conditions that naturally fall out during the course of derivation of shock wave solution to this equation. Subsequently, the generalized Bogoyavlensky-Konoplechenko equation is also addressed.
