In this paper, we constructed sintered aggregates based on the particle superposition model and apply the ball-necking factor eta to characterize the sintering degree. The impact of the absorptivity characterized by the complex refractive index m and the wavelength of the incident light lambda on the optical properties of aggregates with different eta were compared and investigated. The results indicate that for different m and lambda, the light scattering characteristics exhibit regular changes in the values, the peak locations and the size trends. Further, the deviation of 1 - S-22/S-11 caused by various eta is noteworthy and considerable so that it can be used as a probe sensor parameter in the detection of the sintered aggregates configuration.
