Present research study contains the synthesis of undoped and doped nanoparticles of ZnO through sol-gel method where three different elements V, S and Dy were used as a dopant with ZnO nanoparticles. The prepared nanoparticles were used as an inorganic nanofiller in PVDF/functionalized-PMMA blended polymer matrix. The blended polymer matrix was synthesized by chemically mixing of PVDF and functionalized-PMMA in 70/30 w/w ratio. 2-amino-5-nitrobenzoic acid was reacted with PMMA to chemically functionalized the PMMA. The undoped and doped nanoparticles and blended polymer nanocomposites were analyzed by sophisticated techniques FTIR, UV-Vis, TEM, SEM-EDS and TGA/DTA/DTG. The FTIR and EDS studies confirmed that ZnO nanoparticles were successfully doped and PMMA was successfully functionalized. UV-Vis and thermal spectra shows that maximum absorbance (lambda(max)) and the thermal stability was maximum for Dy doped nanocomposites.
