The rapid growth of the energy industry and the necessity to deal with the consequent radioactive waste put much emphasis on the removal and recovery of uranium. Several methods were developed for this purpose and adsorption was proved to be the most promising one. Various kinds of adsorbents were discussed, including inorganic materials, organic polymers and organic- inorganic hybrid materials. Adsorption parameters were presented and the materials show different ability on uranium adsorption.
