A new approach is developed to depict the fault lineaments and pertinent tectonic evidence of the Sinai Peninsula, Egypt from gravity and magnetic data. The approach is capable of identifying not only the main basements trends, but also the main trends of the sedimentary structures. The main lineaments trends in the Peninsula were derived from the geologic information as well as the regional and residual gravity and magnetic maps. Joint interpretation has revealed that the deep-seated structures have NW-SE, NE-SW, E-W, and N-S trends, whereas the shallow-seated structures have NE-SW, E-W, NW-SE, and WNW-ESE.
