Active and stable electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) made from earth-abundant elements are highly attractive. Herein, we report our recent efforts in developing Mo-doped NiOOH (Mo-NiOOH) nanosheets as highly active and stable OER catalysts. The doping of Mo is found to be conducive for both activity and stability. The Mo-NiOOH nanosheets need overpotential of only 390 mV to afford the current densities of 100 mA cm(-2) and show no obvious degradation under steady-state current density of 100 mA cm(-2) even after 24 h.
