We examined the laser ablation dynamics of silver target in aqueous phase to explore the effects of laser power, ambient electrolytes, and magnetic field on the formation and expansion of laser-induced plasma plume, bubbles, and nanoparticles. The lifetime of the plasma emission increased with magnetic field and electrolytes, while they had no influence on the conversion of laser energy to the energy of laser-induced bubbles formed thereafter. The size of the bubbles was dependent only on the laser power. (C) 2015 AIP Publishing LLC.
