Polycrystalline Mg0.7-2xLixZn0.3Fe2+xO4 (x = 0, 0.14, 0.21, 0.28, 0.35) thick films were prepared by simple screen printing technique. X-ray diffraction analysis confirmed that the samples had a spinel structure and texture analysis confirmed preferential orientation in the (311) plane. Doping with lithium caused a contraction in the lattice parameter obeying Vegard's law. The variation in force constant with bond length showed an unexpected trend in both A and B sites of the lattice. Thus influence of the lithium doping on the structural properties like texture coefficient [TC(hkl)], dislocation density (rho(D)), density of crystallites per unit surface area (psi), X-ray density (rho(x)), and physical density(rho(a)) of MgZn ferrite thick films were reported.
