Lecithin Organogels as Prospective Functional Nanomaterial

This review describes the data on methods of the lecithin organogel preparation, the regions of their existence, and phase equilibria in the lecithin/nonpolar organic solvent/water systems. The modern views on both the mechanism of the formation and the structure of lecithin organogels are discussed. The properties of lecithin organogels and prospects of their use for drug delivery and in other areas are described.
