Nano-Ni drived modification in LaMg3/Ni composite is investigated. The new phases of LaMg2 and MgNi2 can be formed on the sample surface during the milling process. There is almost no electric charge transfer process between Ni and La element through XPS analyses. The amorphization structure can be found on the alloy surface with the increasing of reaction duration, and the capacity and cycle stability are also greatly promoted. On the other hand, the milled alloys show the lower charge transfer resistance, better anti-corrosion ability and higher oxidation current density. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
