Outsourcing is defined as a practice used by different companies to reduce costs by transferring portions of work to outside suppliers rather than completing it internally. Selection among outsource manufacturers is a multicriteria decision-making problem under uncertainty, which the fuzzy set theory can capture this type of uncertainty. In this paper, interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy AHP & TOPSIS based methodology is proposed for the evaluation of outsource manufacturers. An application is given to show the applicability of the proposed method. (C) 2016, IFAC (International Federation of Automatic Control) Hosting by Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
