Organoboron reagents are one of the most widely studied and applied classes of reagent throughout organic synthesis and catalysis. Not only are these reagents integral to many of the fundamental methods in the organic chemists toolbox, but they continue to be pivotal in the development of novel chemistries. This review covers selected advances in organoboron chemistry in recent years by focusing on both advances in methods for the installation of boron functional groups and the development of new methodologies based on organoboron reagents.
