People living at the Waterfront City in general are defficient in the individual as well as collective awareness of their existence in the coastal area. This is particularly demonstrated in the result of this study which proves that the greatest source of waste pollutants are generated by household wastes. Smart City is an ideal urban model created by the increasing awareness of urban population on the sustainability of their existence in the coastal area. This paper is prepared through a study of the pollution load in the coastal area as well as modelling of dynamics in water area as the source of information and data to enhance public awareness on the water pollution due to their activities in the inland region. These activities subsequently give a direct impact on the sustainability of life in their coastal area. (C) 2016 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
