Non-metallic material of waste printed circuit boards (WPCBs) is complicated, which is one of the challenges of electronic waste disposal. Firstly, the source of WPCBs, non-metallic material composition, current major disposal and potential dangers are analyzed in the research. The progress of recycling and disposal technology for non-mentallic materials from waste printed circuit board are summarized on the basis of the physical processing technology, pyrolysis processing and chemical processing technology. Future research is also suggested in the paper. Results obtained can provide a reference for the industrial development of regeneration and reuse of WPCBs nonmetallic materials. (C) 2016 The Authors.
