In the last years it has been a relevant challenge to include instruction on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in traditional curriculum of training programmes for teachers and future teachers. In Spain, the Master in Secondary Education Teaching, Vocational Training and Language Teaching, is a required course to teach at Secondary education levels. A specific subject on ICT FOR LEARNING AND TEACHING was included in our official master programme at the UMH. To design the curriculum for this ICT subject we have tried to cover all current trends in education, pedagogy and ICT advances, in order to train future teachers for an efficient use and integration of ICT into their classes, to improve motivation and learning. The curriculum contents of this subject are based on the development and use of open educational resources, as well as free and open source software. We prepare our future teachers to develop their own open educational resources by solving tasks related to building their own Personal Learning Environment with the tools provided through the course.
