Both organic semiconductors and graphene now represent an established field of research with great technological potential. Recently, impressive progress has been made in our understanding of how to synergistically exploit their basic properties as unique functions in practical applications. It is therefore time to regard hybrid electronics from organic semiconductors and graphene as a distinct subject of research that may open up many new possibilities. This article reviews fundamental aspects and recent advances in emerging devices, and projects our perspectives on their future.
