We have demonstrated the ability of iron carboxylate metal-organic frameworks to efficiently deliver unmethylated cytosine-phosphateguanine oligonucleotides. The nanoconjugates induced a stronger immune response than did free cytosine-phosphateguanine oligonucleotides and showed T-2-magnetic resonance imaging ability both in vitro and in vivo.
